We are so happy to see just how many of you enjoyed Larry's stories about Patrick that we shared yesterday for Patrick's birthday. These stories, and many other wonderful stories Larry wrote are in his autobiography - Hello Darlin'. We have a limited number left of autographed copies ... visit www.larryhagman.com/store.html for more info. Here's a photo of Larry with his autobiography taken in June of 2006 in Los Angeles by Erwin Schickinger.

Here's another great story about Patrick from Larry's book (page 186) ...
"Patrick and I hit it off from the get-go. On one of the first shows we taped, we had a dramatic confrontation after I exposed his betrothed's relationship with the ranch hand Ray Krebbs. Pissed off, Bobby grabbed my shoulders, spun me around, and was about to hit me. But as I turned, he saw I had drool running down my chin. He cracked up. "Here I am acting my life out and you're drooling," he said. I glanced toward Victoria, who was by the fire, wearing as little as we could get away with on network television."If you were looking at her, wouldn't you drool too?" I asked. I think we were destined to be best buddies."
Happy Birthday Patrick from your friends at LarryHagman.com!

Today is one of Larry's best friends birthday - Patrick Duffy! Patrick and Larry had a wonderful friendship, and on page 215 in Larry's book Larry wrote: "On set and off, Patrick Duffy was the perfect companion for me. He was almost as good looking as me, almost as talented, almost as funny, and almost as smart. We were kindred spirits who liked to hunt, fish, and play practical jokes."

Larry was also an extremely grateful person, and he gave generously of his time and money during the holidays. In fact, he started out each holiday season by 'cleaning out his closets' and would then privately bring his donations to a loval Los Angeles homeless shelter. As we are now in the throes of the holiday season, let's honor Larry by being grateful for all we have, and remember Larry's motto "Don't Worry Be Happy Feel Good".

Larry loved the holidays - he was just a kid at heart, and he loved opening presents. But Larry also had a very humble heart, evidenced by the photo attached to this post. In 1986 when Larry was featured on the cover of the October issue of Los Angeles magazine, a friend took a photo of a billboard promoting the magazine cover at a bus stop in Los Angeles. Included in the photo was a homeless person sleeping beneath the billboard. When Larry wrote to thank his friend for sending the photo, he closed his letter by saying ... "But for the grace of God".

Happy Birthday to Sheree J. Wilson, one of Larry's dearest friends. Every year Larry would send Sheree a dozen texas roses on her birthday. We wish Sheree a very happy birthday - from all of us at LarryHagman.com.

From Sheree J. Wilson:
I smile every time I think of that twinkle in his eye … whether it be because he was playing the devilish J.R. or just being Larry and masterminding his next costume or parade. He was not only the life of the party, he WAS the party! His infectious HAPPINESS was always surrounding him and he gave it as a gift to all. I miss not being able to play with him, but I know each time something surprisingly wonderful happens, I feel he has had a part in orchestrating it from above.

Linda Gray: Here are some thoughts on Mr. Hagman:
"It is so hard to believe that it has been one year since Larry left the Planet. I am consumed with such gratitude for having him as such a dear friend for 35 years. Filled with gratitude for working with him
(a consummate actor) and enjoying his youthful and infectious energy both on screen and off!
He was a unique human being; bigger than life ... and taught others to enjoy every moment of their life.
His motto: '
Don't Worry, Be Happy, Feel Good' is the way I will always remember him and what a motto for all of us to emulate!
At sunset today may we all raise a glass (of Champagne naturally) and say "Bong Bong"
and be grateful that we knew him."

Every day at sunset, Larry would do this weird thing - he would raise a glass of champagne as the sun was setting, and he would say, 'Bong! Bong!' and make this sound like he was hitting a gong. Today remember Larry on the first anniversary of his passing and wherever you are raise a glass to the setting sun in Larry’s memory and repeat his signature toast and say Bong! Bong!

Thought we would share with everyone this rare playbill from a play Larry did in London entitled The Irving Revue. Judging from the playbill, it seems that Larry appeared as several different characters within the play - as one of the Baltic States, a Singer, one of the Romans, Compere and one of the dancers, as well as singing in a few numbers. The play ran in 1952 at The Irving Theatre. This theatre was opened in 1951 and closed in 1964. When we did some online research about the theatre, we ran across this quote: "This was followed by The Irving Review (1952), introducing a young lad called Larry Hagman." Below is the cover of the playbill, and if you click on it you will be able to open up the entire 4 page playbill as a pdf file. Enjoy!!! (posted Nov. 12, 2013)

Larry and Linda shared a special friendship for over 35 years. From the moment they first met back in 1977 at the first reading for the TV show DALLAS, in Larry's own words (from his book - page 182) he wrote "The whole cast gathered for the first time in producer Leonard Katzman's office, where we read through the script. The first person I met was Linda Gray, who gave me a big hug. That hug was the start of a lifelong friendship. When we let go, which I did reluctantly, I was totally tongue-tied. All I could say was, 'Hello darlin'. 'Nice to meet ya, husband'. She grinned. At that moment I knew that Leonard had cast the perfect partner for me." That friendship continued for over 35 years. Linda spoke so eloguently at Larry's memorial, and summed up their friendship so beautifully when she said, "... to work as Sue Ellen Ewing with J.R. was magical ... to call him my friend for 35 years ... priceless." Theirs was a friendship made in Heaven - and we hope you will enjoy the accompanying private photos of Linda and Larry and join us in wishing Linda a very Happy Birthday!

Larry always loved a parade. He also loved the Ojai Independence Day Parade ... a very small town quaint and quintessential 4th of July celebration in the small town that Larry loved. He entered his restored Arhens Fox Fire Truck in the parade every year up until his last time in 2008. The Arhens Fox Fire Truck was then donated to the Long Beach Fire Truck Museum where it resides today. Every 4th of July Larry would invite friends, family and neighbors to join him on his fire truck and celebrate at his ranch with a 4th of July BBQ. We hope you will enjoy the accompanying photo album taken on the 4th of July of Larry on his restored Arhens Fox Fire Truck. Among the photos is one of a 2010 award that Larry and Maj received for their sponsorship of the Ojai Independence Day Parade from the Ojai Independence Day Committee, which he proudly displayed in his office. I am sure if he were here today, he would once again be celebrating Independence Day along with us all. So, from all of us at LarryHagman.com, we wish you all a safe and wonderful 4th of July!

Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's out there. Here's a photo of Larry's Dad we thought everyone would enjoy. Larry had a tremendous amount of respect for his Dad. In Larry's book 'Hello Darlin' he wrote this story which we thought we would share with everyone once again. "I love to remember how much I learned from him. One afternoon we stopped in the countryside to stretch our legs and I spotted a buzzard. ImpulsiveIy, I grabbed the .22 we kept in the back of the car, and said, 'Dad, watch this'. I snapped a shot off. I didn't look or anything. But I killed the large bird midflight. It was a brain shot, right through his head. Probably the luckiest shot of my life. My dad, not happy, said, 'Goddamn, boy, now we have to eat that son of a bitch'. 'Huh?' 'Son, in Texas, we eat what we shoot'. He wasn't kidding. That night I ate buzzard for dinner. I learned my lesson. I never again shot anything I didn't want to eat."

One of Larry's most endearing qualities was that he was always wanted to make you laugh - whenever you were with him you knew you were in for a good time with lots of laughter. To his family and friends he was affectionately known as 'The Mad Monk of Malibu' when he lived on the Malibu beach in the 1980s. He would dress up in outrageous costumes, and there were be parades up and down the beach. We thought you would all enjoy these family photos, that bring back to mind to all of us Larry's motto - "Don't Worry Be Happy Feel Good". Enjoy!

We want to thank everyone for their support to Larry over the years, and also for your incredible outpouring of love to his family and friends over his passing. Larry’s passing is a loss to all of us, among those are his office staff. These past five months have been very difficult, and there was an incredible amount of tasks to take care of. Only now are we beginning to see the light and to truly feel his absence. We wanted somehow to be able to share with all of you bits of pieces of his life that we thought you would enjoy. So we are going to start using Larry’s facebook page as a "Go Down Memory Lane With Larry" and share with you photos, articles, etc. from his private scrapbook. We came across this photo of Larry that was taken when he was about 19 years old, probably when he in the service in England assigned to putting shows together for the servicemen and woman. Written across the bottom in the white border Larry wrote “So you want to get into show business” Are we ever glad you did Larry! This photo is now framed and sits on the desk of Larry’s longtime assistant Teri.
